Shrubs typically require full sun, which is at least 6 hours of sun per day or more in Texas. Most plants will grow well in morning sun and afternoon shade.
All of the shrubs listed grow well in Central Texas and once established, will require little water. However, freshly planted shrubs will require a lot of water. During warm and hot months, water is very important if you want your shrubs to survive!
